TSL X NOC : FILTERSPELL
A groundbreaking collaboration between two media groups and a concept that pushes the envelope for both, Filterspell is a local take on the “choose your own story” genre inspired by Black Mirror: Bandersnatch.
Pre-production was largely under TSL’s purview, and we had to divide the complex nonlinear storyboards as production was split between both groups. With 10 separate story branches, an ensemble cast of 30 and over a dozen different locations, this remains one of the largest projects I’ve managed to date.
TSL X MEWATCH : THE ALGORITHM
The Algorithm is a 6-episode series that describes a fictional but possible near future where critically low birthrate has forced the government to implement a institution to boost the creation of relationships leading to marriage and children.
By far the biggest project ever undertaken by all of the crew and shot on cinema gear, we are again pushing the envelopes of content creation in 2021.
I was on board with the production of this series as 1st & 2nd AC, Gaffer, PA and DIT. It was broadcast on MediaCorp’s Channel 5 in June 2021.
SGUNITED : THIS IS WHY
An emotional piece based on true stories, we created this short film to acknowledge and appreciate the sacrifices made by frontline healthcare staff helping Singapore overcome the worst of the pandemic.
Conceptualized, pre-produced and shot in just four days to finish production before lockdown began, this is one of the fastest projects I’ve ever managed.
